Who is responsible for your information?
SEO Migration Studio, a trading name of a business that works from Pakistan for businesses in the US and the UK, runs this website and is responsible for the information described here. Questions about this notice go through the contact page or to hello@seomigrationstudio.com.
What happens when you browse the website?
The website’s own code sets no cookies, keeps nothing in your browser’s local or session storage, and loads no advertising or social media code. Its pages, scripts, fonts and images come only from the website’s own address, and a security header tells your browser to refuse scripts, images, fonts and connections from anywhere else.
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives every request your browser makes to the site, and each request carries your IP address, the address of the page and your browser’s standard headers, such as its name and version. Vercel keeps its request and function logs for the limited period its service sets.
Page visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. For each page view it records the time, the page address and its filtered query parameters, the referring page, an approximate location (country, region and city) and the device type, operating system and browser with their versions. A visitor is recognized only by a code made from the request, and Vercel discards that code after 24 hours. The statistics are seen only in aggregate and are not used to identify you.
On the home page, the quote start asks for your site’s address, what you are moving from and to, and a launch month. It is not a form, and nothing is sent while you type: its button opens the contact page with what you typed added to that page’s web address, and the contact form fills those values in for you. Because the values travel in the web address, they reach Vercel with the request for the contact page and stay in your browser history.
What does the quote form collect?
The quote form collects what you type into it and a few technical records that make the submission usable and safe.
| Category | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Information you enter | Your name and email address, which are required. Optionally: your company, phone number, website, the service you are asking about, how you heard about SEO Migration Studio (Google search, ChatGPT/AI assistant, Bing, LinkedIn, Referral, Directory (Clutch etc.), Other) with any detail you add, and your message. |
| Form context | The page the form was on and the type of inquiry. |
| Consent record | A random submission ID, the time the server received the form, and the wording and version of the statement you ticked. |
| Abuse checks | A hidden field that people leave empty, and your IP address. The IP address feeds a short-lived limit on repeated submissions, held in the server’s memory, and is not added to the delivered inquiry. |
How is the information used, and on what basis?
The information is used to read your inquiry, reply to it and prepare the quote you asked for. It is not added to a mailing list or used for marketing, and a phone number is used only to discuss your inquiry. Where the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies, the basis is the steps you ask for before a possible contract, and the business’s legitimate interest in answering inquiries and keeping the form free of abuse.
The form handler takes only automatic steps that check the form: it refuses incomplete submissions, limits repeated ones and marks likely spam. None of them decides anything else about you.
Who receives it, and where is it processed?
The form handler runs on Vercel’s servers. It sends each inquiry to the destination set up for the site, and nowhere else: either an email notification through Resend, an email delivery service, to the SEO Migration Studio inbox, or a webhook to the customer-relationship or automation tool the business uses to track inquiries. The delivered inquiry holds the values in the first three rows of the table above, not your IP address.
Inquiries are read and answered from Pakistan. Vercel and Resend process data in the United States, so information you send leaves the UK and the EU. To ask about the safeguards used for these transfers, use the contact page.
SEO Migration Studio does not sell personal information and does not share it for targeted advertising.
How long is it kept?
The form handler has no database and keeps no copy of an inquiry. When it delivers an inquiry, or fails to, it writes a short line to Vercel’s function log with the random submission ID and the outcome, and no name, email address, message or IP address. Your IP address stays only in the memory of the server that handled your request, and only until that server clears it.
Quote requests are kept in the receiving inbox or tool for up to 24 months after your last message, then deleted. If an inquiry becomes an engagement, its records are kept for as long as the engagement and the law require.
What are your rights, and how do you use them?
If the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR applies to you, you can ask for a copy of your information, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how it is used, and ask for it in a portable format. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or to the data protection authority where you live in the EU.
If a US state privacy law gives you rights over your personal information, such as to know what is held, to correct it or to delete it, you can use them the same way.
To make a request, use the contact page with the email address you used on the form, or write to hello@seomigrationstudio.com. A reply goes only to that email address, which is how a request is checked.
