URL-verified redesigns
WordPress website redesign services for existing sites
For owners and marketing leads of an existing WordPress business site that earns inquiries from Google and needs a new design.
If your WordPress business site already earns inquiries from Google, you get a new design built in WordPress, and every URL on the inventory you sign is mapped, checked on staging, and crawled again at day 7 and day 30 after launch. The URL-Verified Redesign is priced from $5,990 / £4,790.
Day-30 URL Check: Final 40% invoiced only after our day-30 crawl shows every signed-list URL reaching its mapped, indexable page. Outages and others' changes excluded.

Who this WordPress redesign service is for
SEO Migration Studio’s WordPress website redesign service is for owners and marketing leads of service businesses and B2B firms whose WordPress site earns inquiries from Google. A new design changes templates, menus and sometimes URLs, so every redesign SEO Migration Studio sells includes the URL work: each address on the inventory you sign is mapped before launch and checked after it.
Three situations fit another SEO Migration Studio package better. If your developer or agency is building the new site, the URL work is sold on its own as SEO-only packages for developer-built relaunches. Agencies that want the build and the URL work under their own name can order white-label redesign builds. If your site runs on another platform, start with a move into WordPress, where the old platform’s URL patterns are mapped.
A business without a site has no URL inventory to map, so a first build is not what this service is for. Nor is a Divi 5 upgrade on its own: Elegant Themes documents it as an update from the WordPress admin, then says, “Migrating your website will convert all Divi 4 modules on your entire website.”1 If your redesign has already launched and clicks have fallen, start with a diagnosis of the drop before any new design work.
What the redesign includes besides the new design
Besides the new design, the WordPress build and your existing content moved into the new templates, the URL-Verified Redesign includes five pieces of URL work, in this order:
- Signed URL inventory. Every address with clicks or impressions in Google Search Console, a backlink, an index entry or a place in a current sitemap goes on the inventory, and you sign it before mapping starts.
- Redirect map. Each URL on the inventory is mapped to one page, unless the map you sign retires it. An address that can stay the same stays the same; an address that changes gets one 301 redirect to its mapped page.
- Staging closed to search engines. The staging site is blocked from indexing while it is built, and launch QA confirms that the block is gone from the live site.
- Parity check. On staging, each old page’s title, H1, canonical tag, structured data and internal links are compared with its new template, and every gap goes on a parity sheet before launch.
- Launch QA and follow-up crawls. In your launch window we check robots.txt, noindex tags, canonicals, redirects, sitemaps, Search Console and analytics, then crawl the site again at day 7 and day 30 and list anything that fails.
Google Search Central’s site-move guidance says: “With any significant change to a site, you may experience ranking fluctuations while Google recrawls and reindexes your site.”2 A redesign is that kind of change, and the five pieces of URL work account for each URL before and after launch. To run these checks yourself, or to hand them to your developer, work through the redesign SEO checklist.
Redesign or rebuild: what your site needs
Whether your site needs a redesign or a rebuild depends on the theme and plugins underneath it. A redesign keeps your WordPress install and changes the design on top of it; a rebuild replaces the theme and templates entirely. Either way, the site runs on a supported PHP version at launch.
PHP 8.2’s security support ends on 31 December 2026, according to php.net3, and on 8 October 2026, 24.294 percent of WordPress sites reporting to WordPress.org ran PHP 8.24. Upgrading PHP changes no URLs, and it calls for a rebuild only when the theme or plugins cannot run on a supported version.
Which redesign package fits
The URL-Verified Redesign comes in two sizes, S and M; the price list below prints the template, page and URL limits of each size beside its price. A template is a distinct page layout, a page is a content page moved or rebuilt, and a URL is an address on your signed inventory.
The package depends on the size of the site and on who builds it:
| Your situation | Package |
|---|---|
| WordPress redesign up to size S | URL-Verified Redesign, size S |
| WordPress redesign up to size M | URL-Verified Redesign, size M |
| Larger than size M, or a redesign and a domain change in one project | Migration Intensive |
| Your developer or agency builds the redesign | SEO Migration Package |
| More Weekly Redirect Guard after the included period | Weekly Redirect Guard |
The SEO Migration Package starts from $1,980 / £1,560, with the final price set by the URL count of your signed inventory.
Start dates follow a capacity rule: We take on at most 1 new relaunch project a month.
Published market prices for redesigns, by provider type, are collected in the redesign cost guide.

How the project runs and what you provide
The project runs in seven steps, and you sign or approve four things along the way: the URL inventory, the redirect map, the design and the staging site.
- You request a quote with the site URL, the page count, the theme or page builder, and your launch window. Fixed quotes come back within 1 business day. Quotes and calls are free.
- Once you sign, we agree the start date and the launch window, and you share WordPress admin, hosting and Search Console access.
- We build the URL inventory and you sign it; then we map each URL on it, and you sign the redirect map.
- The new design is agreed and approved before the WordPress build starts.
- We build the site on staging, move your existing content into the new templates, and run the parity check against your old pages.
- You approve staging, and the site launches inside your launch window, with launch QA run on the live site.
- The day-7 and day-30 crawls check every URL on the inventory, and Weekly Redirect Guard watches the redirects for the included period.
What you provide is short: your content decisions, logins that work, and an answer at each sign-off point. Each phase, with what it produces and who does what, is set out in the full project process.
After launch: crawls, redirects and handover
After launch, the day-7 and day-30 crawls check every URL on your signed inventory against its mapped page, and anything that fails goes on a fix list. The billing terms tied to the day-30 crawl are printed in full, with their conditions, under Terms.
Google Search Central advises keeping redirects long after a move: “Keep the redirects for as long as possible, generally at least 1 year.”2 Weekly Redirect Guard comes with the package for the period listed under Prices, and after that period it is sold as an add-on at $149 / £119 a month.
At handover you receive the redirect import file, the signed inventory and every login created for the project. The design, code, content and redirect files are yours on full payment.
Terms for URL-Verified Redesign and options
Day-30 URL Check
- Condition
- The final 40% of the project fee is invoiced only after our day-30 crawl shows every URL on your signed list reaching its mapped, indexable page: the old URL returns one 301 to its mapped target, the target returns 200, is not noindexed or blocked by robots.txt, and its canonical points to itself; an unchanged URL returns 200; a URL the signed map retires returns 410. Your part: sign the URL inventory and the map before launch, keep our WordPress admin and hosting/DNS access through day 30, and tell us before changing URLs, permalinks, redirect rules or redirect plugins in those 30 days.
- Remedy
- We fix every failure at no charge and re-crawl within 2 business days of each fix; the 40% is invoiced on the first passing crawl.
- How to claim
- Automatic: day 30 is 30 calendar days after the launch time in the launch log, and we run the crawl within 2 business days after it. The report and CSV are shared with you, and you can re-run the same list.
- Limit
- Once per project. If the crawl cannot run because access was removed or the site is down for reasons outside our scope, the 40% is invoiced on day 37. Not covered: host, CDN or DNS outages; changes made by you or anyone else; URLs added after you signed the list.
Staging sign-off
Second 30% due when you approve staging, or 5 business days after we send it unless you list in-scope fixes.
- Applies to
- Projects bill 30% to book, 30% at staging sign-off and 40% under the Day-30 URL Check.
- How it is billed
- Staging counts as approved when you approve it, or 5 business days after we send it unless you list in-scope fixes in that time.
- How it runs
- List the in-scope fixes in writing within the 5 business days.
- Limit
- In-scope fixes only; new requests are quoted as extra hours.
